Privacy Policy

What we collect
This policy covers the MyRoleTrack website and the MyRoleTrack iPhone app. Both use the same account, so the same data is shared between them.
- Your email address, used to sign in, and an optional display name.
- The application data you choose to save: company names, roles, statuses, notes, deadlines, recruiter details, interview debriefs and clearance tracking details.
- Resumes you upload or paste, and job descriptions you save or paste.
- Jobs you save or hide in AI Picks, used to rank future picks for you.
- Your subscription status (whether you have Pro).
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers in the iPhone app.
How we use it
We use your information to run the product, organize your application history, generate AI outputs you request, rank job recommendations, and send sign-in codes and reminders. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
AI features
AI features (match scores, resume tailoring, resume review, cover letters, interview prep, AI Picks and career path) send your resume text and the relevant job description to Anthropic, which provides the Claude model. This happens only when you use an AI tool or upload a resume, and in the iPhone app only after you agree on the AI consent screen. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. You can turn AI features off at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI resume, match, cover letter, prep and recommendation features
- Apple (App Store) — in-app subscription payments on iPhone. Apple handles your payment details; we never see them.
- RevenueCat — manages iPhone subscriptions; receives your account email and purchase status
- Stripe — billing and subscription payments on the website
- Job sources (Adzuna, Jooble, Jobicy, JSearch and USAJobs) — job listings and hiring data. They receive search terms and locations, not your personal information.
- Resend — sign-in and reminder emails
- Vercel — application hosting and runtime infrastructure
Your choices and account deletion
You can edit or delete individual applications, resumes and notes at any time. You can delete your whole account and its data in the iPhone app under Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us from your account email address. Deletion removes your data from MyRoleTrack; an active App Store subscription must be cancelled separately in your Apple ID settings.
Data retention
Your information stays in your account until you delete it or delete your account.
Security
MyRoleTrack uses HTTPS, time-limited authentication flows, and HTTP-only session cookies. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your stored information.
